day 6
had a crusome start down in the catacombs…
followed by a cultural athmosphere in louvre…
louvre was rather fun… lots of nice exibitions… we just surfed through most of the building scanning through different items and stopping for a few nicer things.. even that took around 6 hours… luckily enough, my feet went numb after the 3rd hour so it wasnt that bad.
although most of the museum is within old and preserved castle rooms, a small part of the museum was newly built. to be honest, louvre was great but i do prefer viewing art in minimalistic, simple environment like this which doesnt conflict with the art.
day 7
rather crappy day… only f´got to one sigth… the eiffel tower which was actually really nice. tired, anna’s broken cam, etc.
day 8
versai.. the gardens and outside were beautiful, the interior was a bit disappointing, not exactly sure why.
day 9
Trekking in the countryside!
we came across a really thirsty and hungry cat in the middle of nowhere… someone probably abandoned it… so we went back a kilometer to the closest town were a nice lady said she would take care of him/her
and back to base
day 10
the day started with lots of driving
say hello to breakfeast:
the king’s brothel… or castle for their favourites would be more appropriate.
a long drive out of the city took us to this really nice castle built on a bridge across a river
finally figured out how to take photos in crowded places… blur them out ^^
Day 11
time to say goodbye to paris and hello to athens ^^
paris – orly airport is the worst place ive been in, the service is terrible! check in took me 1hour and 10 minutes… in the end there was only 3 counters working… until one of the guys looked at his watch and and just closed down his booth :/
arriving in athens airport… i got out of the airport just for the time for the sunset… it was really beautiful. orange gradient in the sky, mountains in the distance
unfortunately i was too tired to stop and take photos :/
