Well, not much- in june after the army i took time off to prepare for another shot at animwork so i have been drawing like hell. Also signed up for a 6 month course in a folkhojskole in Denmark starting in january. til then its just slow ticking with lots of drawing… and all kinds of other things life throws at you. heres a little sum-up.
- population of 2,189 (as of 1 November 2009)
- Otepää is a popular skiing resort, popularly known as the “winter capital” of Estonia
- It is the site of an annual FIS Cross-Country World Cup event.
- The earliest surviving firearm in Europe has been found in the ancient castle of Otepää and it dates to at least 1396.
well, here we are, 2 days of premiere and after efects, 2h of filming, few hours of prop building and we got ourselves a movie (clip)
not exactly how i hoped it to turn out but time is short and the file got way big for my pc to handle.
the pace of the thing should be smoother/slower (could have been fixed by a separate camera man but had to do with just the tripod this time) transitions arent that smooth in places, the end gets kinda messy and some vfx is missing (damage to the car, supermutant, etc) but its the best i could come up with all the limitations.
Enjoy :)
say hello to my newest project!
in order to make learning After Effects more fun, i decided to do a short video/movie to learn the stuff im interested in (matte painting, 3d integration, color fix, motion tracking, etc)
well, here we go again.. since i got rejected for the drawing skills, its time to start polishing them… drawing a little every day reading books and looking around…
But first of all, this little thingie (doesnt it make a nice impression on the post listing? ^^) copper + glass + pliers
for the drawings, click more or on the image to read on.
how to make your mood any more darker then the last free weekend….
due to some ill tidings the next weekend and one in the end were cancelled… so now il be stuck without leave for the next 5 weeks out of which 3 are in the forest for an event called “kevadtorm” … ugh… dirty, cold, max 4-5h of sleep per night, crappy food, etc. cant wait to be over and done with this frikin carnival
So far ive spent all my weekends off the army on the hill :)
heres a little glimpse of the last one..
hopefully il also get somone to operate the camera and get in front of it a few times myself… but thats pretty tricky :/
enjoy!
all the best for the new year, hope youre doing better then me ^^ all i go was a few weeks of for this winter vacation… probably the best one so far :) heres a little climpse of it… the weather is just gorgeous and the snow is thick as hell.

went and got myself a new board to replace the old one i jumped in half, also dug up some images of a pair of badass goggles i bought from greece… hopefully i can use them in winter (if they dont fog up)
when something needs to be done, we do it on our own… may it be growing our food, pluming work for your sauna or repairing your diy sauna furnace.
this year’s potatoe harvest… didnt work out very well… smallest catch ive ever seen.

Ahhh, its good to be home again.
I got really lucky with the weather, its so nice and sunny yet breathable compared to athens.
its so quiet… all you can hear is the wind while looking at the hypnotic dance of the grass.
Somehow the nature has become much more wild in these 2 years… the fields are full of lush grass, plants and bushes… its quite a sight, very relaxing… sure as hell am going to bitch obout the rain in a few days though ^^
Sooo… the other day my hard drive got fried. tried to boot up and it wouldnt… bios said the hdd’s were bad
after some messing with linux, it suddenly “resumes windows” :/ half the data is corrupt… luckily scan disc
saved most of it.
My conclusion after fiddling with the drives was that the heat killed them… so hot you cant even hold a finger on them.
since the fuckers were still running somehow (very slow with hangups every now and then) i plan the new drive purchase when i
get to Estonia… for now, im thinking i could just do a “quick” cleanup for the fan… or so i thought
23:42 one wrecked casing… really really poor design on these things… it has cracks all over the place

So, ive been in greece for a week now, must say its quite fun, not a place to live in but definitely an exotic destination for a good vacation
well, we’ve been taking it easy after that insane week in paris.. one or two things per day this time around…. would probably be hard to go over that in this heat! ^^ normally +27/30 but also up to +35C … having a bottle of water with you at all times is a must… and you have showered in sweat by the end of the day ^^
anyways, i had rented a small apartment for the month in asimaki fotila 28… was greeted by this…
day 6
had a crusome start down in the catacombs…
Soo… as it turned out, there is no time for constant blogging on holiday’s like this ^^
so heres a conclusion of rest of the days in france.
Day 3
was all about unvinding from the stressfull days…
first a “french” breakfeast with croissants, juice, bread, etc. Ofc if you have danes in your company, they will end up making their own menu ^^
So, after all the travel, we ended up meeting our friendly host luca and had a little chat followed by lots of sleep.
ofcourse we forgot to plug the air matress and it kept deflating. anywasy’s we started a new day on the edge of paris.
